How we work
A group departure only works if somebody owns the day. Ours is owned by the guide who walks it with you and by an office in Hanoi that answers when a flight moves — which is the whole reason we keep the groups small and the departures few enough to staff properly.

What we will not do
- No commission stops at silk shops or gem showrooms
- No elephant riding, and no performing animals
- No routes through areas our own staff would not travel
Pace
- Fewer places, longer in each of them
- Most days finish by mid-afternoon
- Free hours come with suggestions, not obligations

- Guides grew up where they guide
- Day rates rather than commission
- Tipping settled by us, in advance
Straight answers
- Closed borders and difficult seasons are on the page
- We will talk you out of a route that does not work
- If we would rather drop a site than prop it up, we say so
If something changes
- We tell you as soon as we know, not on arrival
- Alternatives are offered before you are asked to accept anything
